Mr. Nelms also assumed the role of Chairman in January 2009, a position that he held until stepping down as Executive Chairman in December 2018. He served as President and Chief Operating Officer from 1998 to 2004. Prior to joining us, Mr. Nelms worked at MBNA America Bank from 1991 to 1998, most recently as Vice Chairman. Mr. Nelms holds a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School since 2018.
