Mr. Murad AlKatib is President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of AGT Food and Ingredients Inc. He founded Saskcan Pulse Trading Inc. in 2001 with Mr. Arslan, and has led its expansion as a processor and seller of pulses and specialty crops as AGTs President and CEO. After the amalgamation of Saskcan and the Funds then operating company, Agtech Processors Inc., in August 2007, Mr. AlKatib joined the board of trustees of the Fund, and assumed the role of President and CEO of the Funds new amalgamated operating company, APP. In January 2008 he was appointed Chairman of the board of trustees of the Fund and on the conversion of the Fund from an openended unit trust to a dividendpaying corporation, he was appointed President and CEO and a director of AGT. Mr. AlKatib completed a Masters from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan, and then worked in international trade promotion for the Government of Saskatchewan. Mr. AlKatib has served as the current Chair of the Regina Regional Opportunities Commission and on the Board of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada as well as having served as a representative of industry on many prestigious advisory panels and committees for the Government of Canada since 2009.
