Mr. Ng Kok Song is no longer NonExecutive Independent Director of Singapore Exchange Limited, effective September 20, 2018. Mr Ng is the Founding Partner and Chairman of Avanda Investment Management Pte Ltd. Mr Ng retired as Group Chief Investment Officer of GIC Pte Ltd in February 2013 after a 42year career in the investment management of Singapores foreign reserves. Before joining GIC in 1986, Mr Ng was at the Ministry of Finance and the Monetary Authority of Singapore . The Singapore government awarded him the Meritorious Service Aware in 2012. Mr Ng was the founding Chairman of the Singapore International Monetary Exchange in 198387, now incorporated into the Singapore Exchange. For his contribution to the global futures industry, the Futures Industry Association inducted him into the Futures Hall of Fame in 2009. He was the founding Chairman of the Wealth Management Institute since 2003 and serves on the Singapore Capital Markets Committee of MAS. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Makena Capital Management LLC, a USA based investment management company. He is also on the global advisory board of PIMCO. Mr Ng graduated in Physics from the University of Singapore and in Management from Stanford University . since 2013.

Elected by the shareholders, the Singapore Exchange's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: Singapore Exchange inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of Singapore.
