Mr. Urban Jansson has served as Independent Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB since 2013 and as Independent Member of the Board of Directors of the Company since 1996. He is also Chairman of the Company Risk and Capital Committee. His other Board assignments include Chairman of the Board of Directors position at EAB AB and 365 id AB. He is also Member of the Board of Directors of Lindengruppen. He worked for SEB between 1966 and 1984 and held various management positions starting from 1972. Later on he joined HNJ Intressenter as its President and Chief Executive Officer and held the position from 1984 until 1990. He later on moved to Incentive Group and served as Executive Vice President from 1990 until 1992. His most recent managerial position was President and Group Chief Executive at Ratos between 1992 and 1998 since 2013.

Elected by the shareholders, the S E's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: S E inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of SEBA. The board's role is to monitor S E's management team and ensure that shareholders' interests are well served. S E's inside directors are responsible for reviewing and approving budgets prepared by upper management to implement core corporate initiatives and projects.
