Mr. Urban Jansson has served as Independent Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB since 2013 and as Independent Member of the Board of Directors of the Company since 1996. He later on moved to Incentive Group and served as Executive Vice President from 1990 until 1992. His most recent managerial position was President and Group Chief Executive at Ratos between 1992 and 1998 since 2013.

Elected by the shareholders, the S E's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: S E inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of SEBA. The board's role is to monitor S E's management team and ensure that shareholders' interests are well served. S E's inside directors are responsible for reviewing and approving budgets prepared by upper management to implement core corporate initiatives and projects. On the other hand, S E's outside directors are responsible for providing unbiased perspectives on the board's policies.
