Mr. Stephen Spinelli, Jr. is Independent Chairman of the Board of the Company. In December 2018, Babson College announced that Dr. Spinelli had been selected as the colleges 14th president and will assume that role beginning in July 2019. He served as Chancellor of Thomas Jefferson University from July 2017 until June 2018, having previously served as President of Philadelphia University since August 2007, which merged with Thomas Jefferson University in June 2017. He was named Chancellor Emeritus of Thomas Jefferson University effective July 1, 2018. Dr. Spinelli cofounded Jiffy Lube International, Inc. in 1979 under the leadership of his college football coach. Three years later, Dr. Spinelli became a franchisee and remained a director of the Company. He grew to become Jiffy Lubes largest franchisee since 2017.
