Mr. Charles H. Esserman is an Independent Director of the Company. He has served on our Board since November 2012. Mr. Esserman serves as Chief Executive Officer of TSG, of which he is a founder. He has over 25 years of private equity investment experience and, together with the partners of TSG, built one of the first consumerfocused private equity funds in the United States. Mr. Esserman helps oversee current and prospective portfolio investments for TSG and is Chair of TSGs Investment Committee. Prior to TSG, Mr. Esserman was with Bain Company, a management consulting company. He is currently a member of the Board of Trust of Vanderbilt University since 2016.

Planet Fitness Leadership Team
Elected by the shareholders, the Planet Fitness' board of directors comprises two types of representatives: Planet Fitness inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of Planet. The board's role is to monitor Planet Fitness' management team and ensure that shareholders' interests are well served.
