Mr. Peter BrabeckLetmathe was Chairman of the Board of Directors at Nestle Ltd. since April 10, 2008. He is also Chairman of the Chairman and Corporationrationrate Governance Committee and Member of the Nomination and Sustainability Committee at the Company. He has served also as Chief Executive Officer until April 10, 2008. He joined the Nestle Group operating company in Austria in 1968. From 1970 till 1980, he was national Sales Manager, and later director of Marketing, Nestle Chile. In 1981, he was appointed Managing Director, Nestle Ecuador, and in 1983, he became Managing Director, Nestle Venezuela. In 1987 he was transferred to Nestle international headquarters in Vevey as Vice President in charge of the Culinary Products Division. By 1992, he became Executive Vice President of Nestle S.A. with worldwide responsibility for Strategic Business Group 2. This encompassed Food, Buitoni, Chocolate and Confectionery, Ice Cream, Petfood, as well as Industrial Products . At the same time, he had worldwide responsibility for Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs. In June 1997, he was elected Member of the Board of Directors. On the same day, the Board appointed him Chief Executive Officer of Nestle S.A. In April 2001, the Board of Directors of Nestle S.A. elected him as Vice Chairman of the Board. In April 2005, he was elected Chairman of the Board. He studied economics at the Wirtschaftsuniversitaet Wien . He was Vice Chairman of LOreal S.A. He has also served as Chairman of Delta Topco, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Credit Suisse Group, and Member of the Board of the Exxon Mobil Corporationrationration. In addition, he was Chairman of the Water Resources Group, Member of the European Round Table of Industrialists, Member of the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum, as well as Member of the Foundation Board of the Verbier Festival. since 2008.
