Dr. Muhammad Anwar Ibrahim serves as Chairman of the Shariah Supervisory Board of PT Bank OCBC NISP Tbk since 2009. He serves as Daily Executive Vice President of Indonesian National Board of Sharia of The Majelis Ulama Indonesia, Founding Member of The International Shariah Research Academy for Islamic Finance, Malaysia, Chairman of Sharia Supervisory Board at Bank Internasional Indonesia Sharia and as Lecturer of Introduction to Islamic Economy at the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Trisakti and National Economics according to Islamic Fiqh at Islamic State University of Jakarta. He obtained a Master degree in 1969 and Doctorate in Philosophy in 1978 from AlAzhar University. He also serves as a member of Syariah Board of Bank Negara Malaysia, a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Trisakti. since 2009.
