Mr. Daniel E. Needham is President, Chief Investment Officer, Investment Management of the Morningstar, Inc.. He is president and chief investment officer of Morningstar Investment Management and is responsible for building worldclass investment management solutions based on our proprietary research. Before taking on his current role in February 2015, he served as CIO for Morningstar Investment Management, and was previously managing director and CIO for Morningstar Investment Managements AsiaPacific Operations. He joined our company when Morningstar acquired Intech Pty Ltd in 2009, where he served as chief investment officer. Before joining Intech in 2002, Daniel worked for Zurich Financial Services in Sydney. He holds a bachelor degree in commerce with a major in finance and economics from the University of Sydney. He also holds the CFA designation. since 2015.

Morningstar Leadership Team
Elected by the shareholders, the Morningstar's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: Morningstar inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of Morningstar.
