He joined Marriott in 1956, became President and a Director in 1964, Chief Executive Officer in 1972, and Chairman of the Board in 1985. Mr. Marriott serves on the Board of The J. Willard Alice S. Marriott Foundation and the Executive Committee of the World Travel Tourism Council. Mr. Marriott has served as a Director of the Company and its predecessors since 1964. since 2012.
