Prof. Lex Hoogduin is NonExecutive Director of the Company. He has experience in Clearing and settlements systems, economic policy and research, financial stability and financial markets, statistics and payment. Lex brings significant expertise and knowledge of economics and the operation of financial markets to the Board. He is also currently Chairman of the Group subsidiary, LCH Group Holdings Limited. Lex previously served as Executive Director at De Nederlandsche Bank from January 2009 until July 2011, where his responsibilities included economic policy and research, financial stability, financial markets, statistics and payment, clearing and settlement systems. He has also held a number of economic advisory positions as Chief Economist at Robeco, Managing Director of the IRIS research institute and adviser to the first president of the ECB. Lex holds a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands and received his PhD degree in Economic Sciences in 1991. Lex is Chairman of the Dutch Payment Association and Chairman of the supervisory board of the Centre for Integral Revalidation Health Care. He is an Adviser to Wilgenhaege . He is also a parttime Professor of Economicscomplexity and uncertainty in financial markets and financial institutions at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. since 2015.

Elected by the shareholders, the London Stock's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: London Stock inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of London.
