Dr. Kiran MazumdarShaw serves as Lead Independent Director of the Company. She has served as one of our directors since January 2014. She is the Chairperson and Managing Director of Biocon Limited, a biotechnology company based in Bengaluru, India. She is the Chairperson of our Nomination and Remuneration Committee, and Corporationrationrate Social Responsibility Committee. She is also a member of our Risk and Strategy Committee. Ms. MazumdarShaw is highly respected in the corporate world and was named among TIME magazines 100 most influential people in the world. The Economic Times placed her as one of India Inc.s top 10 most powerful women CEOs for the year 2012. Her pioneering efforts in biotechnology have drawn global recognition both for the Indian Industry and Biocon. Ms. MazumdarShaw received a graduate honors degree in Zoology from Bangalore University in 1973 and qualified as a Master Brewer from University of Ballarat, Australia since 2018.
