She began her career in 1995 at LOreal in South Africa, where she worked as logistics manager and head of management control, then in France as an internal auditor. In 2000, she joined Orange as Assistant Director in the groups MergersAcquisitions division. Cecile Cabanis came to Danone in 2004, where she carried out key duties in the Finance Division as a Corporationrationrate Financial Officer, then Head of Development.
