Mr. John R. Schimkaitis is an Independent Chairman of the Board of the Company. He was appointed Chair of the Board in May 2015. He served as Vice Chair of the Board from March 2010 to May 2015. He held the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Company from January 1999 until his retirement in December 2010. Mr. Schimkaitis served as President of the Company from 1997 until 2010. During his tenure with the Company, Mr. Schimkaitis also served as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President, Senior Vice President, Vice President, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, and Assistant Corporationrationrate Secretary. Mr. Schimkaitis has more than forty years of experience in the utilities industry, twentyfive years of which were spent in key management roles within the Company. Mr. Schimkaitis leadership of the Company from 1999 to 2010 was a period of growth and diversification. In 2009, Mr. Schimkaitis successfully led the Company through the FPU acquisition, the largest transaction in the Companys history. since 2015.
