Mr. James E. Shada is an Independent Director of The Buckle, Inc. Mr. Shada previously served as Vice President of Sales and Executive Vice President of Sales since April 19, 1991. Effective March 27, 2009, Mr. Shada retired from the Company, after stepping down from his executive position on June 30, 2008. Mr. Shada began his career with the Company in November 1978 as a parttime salesman while attending Kearney State College . He later served as a store manager for the Company before returning to the corporate office in 1985 as the Company sales manager. He was also involved in site selection and the development and education of personnel as store managers and as area and district managers. The Board believes that Mr. Shadas prior experience with the Company as Executive Vice President of Sales allows him to provide special insights on the Companys sales operations. since 2012.
