BG Foods Management Efficiency

The company has Return on Asset of 0.0412 % which means that on every $100 spent on assets, it made $0.0412 of profit. This is way below average. In the same way, it shows a return on shareholders' equity (ROE) of (0.0777) %, meaning that it generated no profit with money invested by stockholders. BG Foods' management efficiency ratios could be used to measure how well BG Foods manages its routine affairs as well as how well it operates its assets and liabilities. Return On Capital Employed is likely to gain to 0.10 in 2024, despite the fact that Return On Assets are likely to grow to (0). At this time, BG Foods' Other Current Assets are comparatively stable compared to the past year. Total Current Assets is likely to gain to about 843 M in 2024, whereas Non Current Assets Total are likely to drop slightly above 1.5 B in 2024.
The company has 2.12 B in debt with debt to equity (D/E) ratio of 2.52, meaning that the company heavily relies on borrowing funds for operations. BG Foods has a current ratio of 3.2, demonstrating that it is liquid and is capable to disburse its financial commitments when the payables are due. Debt can assist BG Foods until it has trouble settling it off, either with new capital or with free cash flow. So, BG Foods' shareholders could walk away with nothing if the company can't fulfill its legal obligations to repay debt. However, a more frequent occurrence is when companies like BG Foods sell additional shares at bargain prices, diluting existing shareholders. Debt, in this case, can be an excellent and much better tool for BGS to invest in growth at high rates of return. When we think about BG Foods' use of debt, we should always consider it together with cash and equity.
