Broadcom Management Efficiency

The company has return on total asset (ROA) of 0.0765 % which means that it generated a profit of $0.0765 on every $100 spent on assets. This is way below average. Similarly, it shows a return on stockholder's equity (ROE) of 0.2475 %, meaning that it created $0.2475 on every $100 dollars invested by stockholders. Broadcom's management efficiency ratios could be used to measure how well Broadcom manages its routine affairs as well as how well it operates its assets and liabilities. As of the 23rd of April 2024, Return On Tangible Assets is likely to drop to 0.18. In addition to that, Return On Capital Employed is likely to drop to 0.10. At this time, Broadcom's Other Assets are very stable compared to the past year. As of the 23rd of April 2024, Asset Turnover is likely to grow to 0.65, while Net Tangible Assets are likely to drop (26.5 B).
The company currently holds 39.23 B in liabilities with Debt to Equity (D/E) ratio of 1.89, which is about average as compared to similar companies. Broadcom has a current ratio of 2.27, suggesting that it is liquid enough and is able to pay its financial obligations when due. Debt can assist Broadcom until it has trouble settling it off, either with new capital or with free cash flow. So, Broadcom's shareholders could walk away with nothing if the company can't fulfill its legal obligations to repay debt. However, a more frequent occurrence is when companies like Broadcom sell additional shares at bargain prices, diluting existing shareholders. Debt, in this case, can be an excellent and much better tool for Broadcom to invest in growth at high rates of return. When we think about Broadcom's use of debt, we should always consider it together with cash and equity.

Broadcom Stock Performance Indicators

The ability to make a profit is the ultimate goal of any investor. But to identify the right stock is not an easy task. Is Broadcom a good investment? Although profit is still the single most important financial element of any organization, multiple performance indicators can help investors identify the equity that they will appreciate over time.

Pair Trading with Broadcom

One of the main advantages of trading using pair correlations is that every trade hedges away some risk. Because there are two separate transactions required, even if Broadcom position performs unexpectedly, the other equity can make up some of the losses. Pair trading also minimizes risk from directional movements in the market. For example, if an entire industry or sector drops because of unexpected headlines, the short position in Broadcom will appreciate offsetting losses from the drop in the long position's value.

The ability to find closely correlated positions to Broadcom could be a great tool in your tax-loss harvesting strategies, allowing investors a quick way to find a similar-enough asset to replace Broadcom when you sell it. If you don't do this, your portfolio allocation will be skewed against your target asset allocation. So, investors can't just sell and buy back Broadcom - that would be a violation of the tax code under the "wash sale" rule, and this is why you need to find a similar enough asset and use the proceeds from selling Broadcom to buy it.
The correlation of Broadcom is a statistical measure of how it moves in relation to other instruments. This measure is expressed in what is known as the correlation coefficient, which ranges between -1 and +1. A perfect positive correlation (i.e., a correlation coefficient of +1) implies that as Broadcom moves, either up or down, the other security will move in the same direction. Alternatively, perfect negative correlation means that if Broadcom moves in either direction, the perfectly negatively correlated security will move in the opposite direction. If the correlation is 0, the equities are not correlated; they are entirely random. A correlation greater than 0.8 is generally described as strong, whereas a correlation less than 0.5 is generally considered weak.
Correlation analysis and pair trading evaluation for Broadcom can also be used as hedging techniques within a particular sector or industry or even over random equities to generate a better risk-adjusted return on your portfolios.

Investors also form their own opinion of Broadcom's value that differs from its market value or its book value, called intrinsic value, which is Broadcom's true underlying value. Investors use various methods to calculate intrinsic value and buy a stock when its market value falls below its intrinsic value.
