Mr. Lodewijk J. Hijmans van den Bergh has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Corporationrationrate Governance Counsel Member Management Board of Royal Ahold since September 1 2013. Previously he was Executive Vice President Chief Corporationrationrate Governance Counsel and a Member of the Corporationrationrate Executive Board of the Company from December 1 2009 to September 1 2013. He is responsible for legal compliance mergers acquisitions responsible retailing. He joined the Company assuming his responsibilities as acting Member of the Corporationrationrate Executive Board and Chief Corporationrationrate Governance Counsel. Prior to joining the Company Mr. Hijmans van den Bergh was Partner and Member of the Managing Committee of Amsterdambased law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek where he was Head of the corporate practice group. He was resident partner of De Brauw London office from 1994 to 1998. He is also the Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and Member of the Supervisory Board of the Air Traffic Control the Netherlands. He is also Member of the advisory boards of the Rotterdam School of Management Erasmus University and Champs on Stage. since 2013.
