Mr. Jon Ramon M. Aboitiz is Chairman of the Board of Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc., since January 5, 2009. He was the Chairman of the Board Corporationrationrate Governance Committee since February 11, 2009 and was a member of the Board Risk and Reputation Management Committee since May 17, 2010. He began his career with the Aboitiz Group in 1970. From being manager of Aboitiz Shipping Corporationrationration, he was promoted to President in 1976. He headed the Aboitiz Group power businessin 1989 and was President of Aboitiz Company, Inc. from 1991 to 2008. Mr. Aboitiz was PresidentChief Executive Officer of AEV since 1994 until his retirement in December 2008. He is currently the Chairman ofthe Board ofDirectors ofACOand the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the Chief Executive Officer of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. . He also holds several positions in the following publicly listed companies Vice Chairman of Aboitiz Power Corporation and Union Bank of the Philippines a director of Bloomberry Resorts Corporation and International Container Terminal Services, Inc. and the Chairman of UnionBank Executive Committee, Risk Management Committee and the Vice Chairman of its Corporationrationrate Governance Committee, including the latters Compensation Remuneration and Nomination SubCommittees since 2009.

Elected by the shareholders, the Aboitiz Equity's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: Aboitiz Equity inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of Aboitiz.
